Fintan is a gestural painter whose practice is articulated around abstraction understood as direct experience. His work is distinguished by an intense and dynamic use of color, a constant exploration of texture, and a unique pictorial methodology based on the combination of pigments, oils, varnishes, and various materials. One of the fundamental pillars of his work is the centrality of gesture as the driving force of the pictorial process. Through layers, glazes, and chromatic contrasts, Fintan constructs complex surfaces in which light and matter become structural elements, generating compositions of strong physical and visual presence. Another key axis of his work is his ability to activate emotional and intellectual responses without resorting to figuration or explicit narratives. His paintings function as open fields of interpretation that invite an immersive experience, situating his practice in a solid territory within contemporary abstraction.
