"Mustaches" is an abstract work in blue tones that takes the serene aesthetic of Japanese prints as its starting point, but reinterprets it with a more gestural and contemporary language. Hidden among the layers of ethereal brushstrokes and floating stains are subtle curved shapes that resemble mustaches — a playful wink that invites close observation and the discovery of the hidden within the apparent. The work combines Eastern contemplation with an almost surreal visual game, where the accessory becomes the protagonist. It is a painting that looks back if you look at it with humor.

Spanish visual artist, highly influenced by purism, he uses geographical themes mixed with the simplistic beauty of Japanese origami. His attractively modern works appear to have a healthy, three-dimensional texture, although they are actually completely flat on the canvas. His "preferred medium of spray, oil, and acrylic on canvas" along with computer sketching allows Rabadán to achieve the unique effect of his earthy and conceptual pieces. He has developed his career by undertaking residencies in France and most recently in the United Kingdom, and has had a presence in international emerging art fairs such as Context Miami or Contemporary Istanbul, appearing at the ARCO fair in 2024, as a main national presence.
