SGallery, Victor Manzanal - Otón. Madrid (2024)

Sculpting intermediate states, Victor Manzanal explores ephemeral materiality and the paradox of permanence through organic transformations.

Víctor Manzanal is a young artist from Navarre, a graduate in Fine Arts with a specialization in sculpture. His practice revolves around the limits of human nature, exploring its boundaries with the animal, the vegetal, and the inert. Through organic materials and deeply symbolic sculpture, Manzanal investigates processes of transformation such as fossilization, petrification, or radioactive footprints, where the living becomes permanence. His work inhabits a tension between the corporeal and the absent, the tactile and the digital, and proposes a disquieting reflection on identity, memory, and the desire for persistence against oblivion. In recent years, his work has generated growing interest in the national and international art circuit, notably his participation in Art Miami, Art Madrid, and the first edition of ENEAS.
