Transforming consumer waste into potent visual critiques of capitalist excess and societal degradation.

Pablo Llana – Mexico (1980). He lives and works in Tijuana, Baja California Norte. He studied at the Casa de la Cultura de Tijuana in 1997. Llana graduated from the “Program for the Professionalization of Art for Visual Artists “PROPAVIS” in 2002 with the support of CONACULTA, having distinguished artists such as Felipe Ehrenberg among his teachers. In 1999, he received his first honorable mention in the Baja California Plastic Arts Biennial in the discipline of painting. In 2014, he won first place in the National Miradas Biennial. He has participated in over 50 exhibitions in Mexico, the United States, Germany, Spain, and Italy. His work is part of the cultural collection of the CECUT Museum in Tijuana, B.C., Mexico.
