About the artist
Coming from a humble and conservative country family, the ideas that Fabián has brought to the discussion table have always been controversial, in a constant search to see the world and its actions with different eyes, in a way that is perhaps not the most accepted. This constant in Fabián's life has greatly defined both his career as a visual artist and his social and personal position. The constant exposure of his ideas generates a constant change in his perception of the world, but each time these ideas are exposed and tested in the social and discursive field, he notices them to be more consistent and effective. The yearning to share these ideas and make them grow forces him to learn to converse and to respect opposing viewpoints or to include them in his own, and since all humans are so similar, it is as if we all have a single structured template that each person fills in differently but which initially works the same for everyone. That template is the foundation, the ground on which Fabián bases his work, a ground that, according to him, is the universal basis on which all humans stand and through which we can communicate and perhaps understand each other in a transparent way, outside the current paradigm.
