As an artist, I am not interested in asking questions or pointing things out, I prefer to make things happen. My approach is primarily experimental. I like to do first and then think about what has happened. I am exploring the possibilities of painting and drawing, trying to blur the boundaries between them. I am interested in the concept of beauty and I like to play with the assumptions surrounding it. I am also critical of the intellectualization of contemporary art, promoted by various art institutions. I find inspiration in children's drawings, urban symbols, and public spaces. For me, playing with layers of paint and hiding some areas is a metaphor for the subconscious of our society, where people have become images of themselves.
