Tomáš Jetela is a recognizable Czech painter of expressionist style, whose work articulates a unique visual language from the fusion of abstraction, figuration, and surrealism. His practice focuses on a constant exploration of identity, perception, and human experience, developed through dynamic compositions, an intense color palette, and a strong emotional charge. One of the fundamental pillars of his work is the investigation into the duality of the human mind and the coexistence of multiple identities within the same individual. This concern is formally translated into the coexistence of abstract and figurative forms that generate spaces of ambiguity and open interpretation, activating each work as a changing interpretative field. Another key axis of his production is his ability to place these psychological and existential questions in a contemporary pictorial territory, where the boundaries between reality and imagination are constantly shifting. Each painting functions as a symbolic space in which elements dialogue with each other, reinforcing the coherence and solidity of a body of work with its own identity.
