CITIZENS https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQqOdhpK73Q "Citizens" is the natural consequence of the series "Callejeando" that I have been working on for the past few years. It should be noted that each of them does not have a clear start and end date, as they coexist with each other, complement each other, and evolve together. If "Callejeando" is a look towards the outside, based on how everything that surrounds us influences us and conditions who we are (urban art, advertising, fashion, music, TV, etc.), the "Citizens" series is a look towards the inside, much more reflective and intimate about what happens around us. In these works, I introduce within these "citizens" all those experiences and impulses that place us before the loneliness of the individual, which I represent with the absence of color around the central figure of each work. In these figures we can see ourselves represented in our day-to-day life, as each of these "citizens" moves between a duality of ideas and actions that lead them to consider whether to do what their ethics demand or to lean towards what society requires. Therefore, in these figures we can find details inherent to what makes us human (T'estime, besa'm, amor, mare....), while on the other hand we can find other signs of what makes us monsters and predators (money, $, €, asco...) Thus, we find ourselves before an individual trapped in a society of single-minded thinkers in which it is difficult to deviate from the established and from what society expects of him. These collections have been exhibited in Berlin, Brussels, Cairo, Madrid, Rome, New York, Basel, Paris, London, and Ningbo (China).

Xavi Garcia

Xavi García is influenced by Pop and Urban art styles. His work results in a modern finish but with a purely classical process. He uses oil and acrylic in large quantities to create an innumerable range of mixed textures, one of his main characteristics. Xavi García has achieved international recognition, giving as much importance to the message as to the painting itself. He has participated in important international exhibitions both in Europe (London, Paris, Brussels, and Rome) and around the world (New York and Hong Kong).
