Unique work
"ICONS" The "icons" series is a branch of previous collections such as "street walking", "travel notebooks" and "Citizens", in which urban art, pop art, fashion, music, social networks, and events of all kinds coexist on the support. Thus, in these works, I make use of "symbols" that have in some way influenced our way of acting during a period of time, or have marked significant moments in my life as an artist/citizen. Therefore, we can find works in which Uma Thurman, Travolta, Marilyn, Ali, Amy Winehouse, The Beatles, etc. appear. In this series, I reference the culture of the image and social networks, the culture or generation of the selfie, posing in front of mobile phones and social networks, this social paranoia that has transformed the citizen and the way we relate. One of the characteristics of this collection is that the works are always conceived to function in pairs, meaning there are two works on Marilyn, the pair from the Pulp Fiction dance scene. The final result, we could say, is like owning a piece of wall, a piece of the street at home, with the exception that the process is purely classical in terms of the materials used and the way they are worked. As an artist, I never stop seeing authentic works of art on the walls of cities, works born of accident, daily deterioration, and that wear and tear, and I feel the need to tear them off the walls and take them home. From here, I propose the creation of a series of paintings in which all these street works are the basis from which I begin to work.

Xavi Garcia

Xavi García is influenced by Pop and Urban art styles. His work results in a modern finish but with a purely classical process. He uses oil and acrylic in large quantities to create an innumerable range of mixed textures, one of his main characteristics. Xavi García has achieved international recognition, giving as much importance to the message as to the painting itself. He has participated in important international exhibitions both in Europe (London, Paris, Brussels, and Rome) and around the world (New York and Hong Kong).
