New ways of perceiving have emerged. Our present is digitized. We find a direct way to familiarize ourselves with a place and with memories through the screen, we intensely search for images through our devices, we connect with what is far away through pixels. We remember through the screen and create a new method of conceiving space and landscape. It is here that perception becomes attracted by the mediated, the digital, RGB light, and the space created by new media. Under this premise, "Landscape through the Screen" is born. In the exhibition, the artistic pieces show a dialogue between the coldness that a screen evokes, where the landscape is completely structured by grids and pixels, by color and sensations of depth. Due to an ease and speed that makes us feel increasingly connected to the digitized medium. In contrast, the landscape loses all its natural conception. When contemplated through these media, it loses the characteristics that define the landscape itself. The wind, the sun, the rain, or the opportunity to traverse it have become pure visual and auditory sensations. Have we created a new landscape? Is the landscape behind the screen a sublime landscape? Are we beings heading towards a new virtual reality? It is now in this present and immediate future that the clash of new media gives rise to these questions. It causes a change in our perception, and we feel attracted by the new way of seeing, and at the same time, it merges with our way of perceiving physical space.
