"The variability of records generated during the work process makes my work have an installation character in which the resulting objects acquire paramount importance in understanding and developing projects. I understand that the object achieves a different truth in my work than painting, sometimes even negating the latter. I try to make the objects have an easily recognizable language, so that through simplicity, melancholy, color, and form, they awaken in the viewer recognizable images within their own imagination. This is why my work features numerous references to common objects, tools, symbolism, or children's games. The result is a conversation between the particular "intrahistory" and global history, and in turn with the histories generated during the work process and daily life, capable of creating a web of readings with which I aim to recreate visual games that lead to intellectual play." -Miguel Ángel Cardenal
