ENEAS Awards

The ENEAS Acquisition Awards are held once a year as the result of the alliance between Saisho and Eneaverso. Since 2016, Saisho has supported more than 35,000 collectors, decorators, and investors in choosing their next artwork with a solid approach: combining artistic curation, investment analysis, and personalized advice. Eneaverso, for its part, is a leader in designing art collections with social impact, aimed at bringing out the best version of individuals and societies.

These Awards recognize the commitment of certain patrons and highlight the meaning of their collections. Through Saisho and Eneaverso channels and a global network of partners dedicated to promoting contemporary art, these collections are communicated and projected beyond the act of acquisition, as testimony to a sensitivity that transcends the present. The support of these patrons not only drives the development of contemporary art, but also contributes tangibly to the cultural legacy that future generations will inherit.

JAIME GONZÁLEZ - RUBIO COLLECTION Award

Award year: 2025

Artist: Alicia Martín

Artwork: Anima Mundi 1

A contemporary art collection driven mainly from Mexico and Spain, conceived as a meeting point between emotion and thought. From a deeply personal perspective, this collection is born from the desire to connect with works that spark genuine emotion and resonate over time. The collector seeks to build an intimate bond when acquiring each piece, moving away from trends to prioritize what is meaningful—new ways of looking, feeling, and thinking about the world. A commitment to contemporary art as a tool for transformation and as a sensitive reflection of the 21st century.

JESÚS TEBÉ COLLECTION Award

Award year: 2025

Artist: José Luis Serzo

Artwork: El retorno de Michael Burton Junior II

I’m not a collector in the classic sense. I’m not driven by the urge to accumulate works or the desire to belong to any closed circle. I approach art—from time to time—the way I approach other areas of my life: with attention, intention, and the intuition that certain pieces are valuable not only for their beauty, but for their ability to say what many don’t want to hear or see.

Morfología del Encuentro, by José Luis Serzo, captured me for exactly that reason. Its symbolism is brutal and precise. Those piglets and other characters are not caricatures: they are reflections. Allegories of a drowsy—or enraged—mass, passive in the face of corruption, farce, and the ethical and moral deterioration around us. This work is not comfortable, and that’s why I wanted it from the first moment I saw it.

My decision to acquire it is not a fashion statement nor a decorative impulse. It comes from a certainty: art, when it is honest, is one of the few spaces where we can still tell truths without filters. And Serzo, with this piece, confronts us with one of the most urgent: the risk of becoming satisfied spectators while everything deteriorates around us. Undoubtedly perfect to look at after watching any nightly news…

The Jesús Tebé Collection Award by Eneas granted to this work was not born to inflate an ego or to fill display cases. It was born from a personal gesture: the desire to point out, recognize, and support those who dare to think and create beyond the noise—those who refuse to repeat formulas or obey the cultural system’s automatic reflexes.

This work—for my joy, the cover of the fifth issue of Eneaverso magazine—represents precisely that spirit: the courage to denounce absurdity through symbolism, the ability to move without preaching, and the clarity to unsettle without fear.

This recognition is, ultimately, an invitation: to remain uncomfortable, to keep seeing what is not meant to be seen, to use creativity as an act of lucid resistance. Art should not serve to decorate conformity, but to interrupt it. And if this award can help keep that flame alive, it will have fulfilled its purpose—at least for me.

ENEAVERSO COLLECTION Award

Award year: 2025

Artist: José Luis Serzo

Artwork: Conversación Decisiva

Eneaverso drives positive change in societies through art by coordinating artists, collectors, entrepreneurs, and institutional representatives.

The work Conversación Decisiva, by José Luis Serzo, represents the genesis of this mission. Because before transforming anything outside, we must dare to look within. Every conscious change begins when we speak to ourselves with radical honesty—when we take responsibility for our truth. And then, only then, change happens. People appear who vibrate at the same frequency, who connect, who propel one another, and make things happen. Because as within, so without.

This award, in addition to recognizing an extraordinary artist, is dedicated to all those who listen to their inner voice and choose their own path.
